The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested the artists Dmitry Platon (homeless) and Igor Kuznetsov because of the banner «Fuck the war.» This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.
Kuznetsov was found guilty of organizing a rally (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and arrested for five days. On June 5, St. Petersburg residents hung a banner with the inscription «Fuck the war» on a building on Vosstaniya Street. The next day, they were detained along with five other people living with them.
The police claimed they were able to do this with the help of security cameras. Friends of the artists were released without protocols or only with protocols for delivery to the department.
