In Stavropol, a conscript was fined, who called the war in Ukraine “disgusting and criminal” at the military registration and enlistment office

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Stavropol fined 21-year-old conscript Savely Morozov 40,000 rubles for speaking out against the war in Ukraine at a meeting of the draft commission. This is reported by the human rights project «Network Freedoms».

When on May 12, Morozov, when he explained at the military registration and enlistment office why he wanted to do alternative service, told the commission that he did not want to go to Ukraine «to fight on the side of the aggressor» and called the war in Ukraine «disgusting and criminal.»

Despite the fact that the commission did not argue with the Stavropol citizen and approved his statement, policeman Kozlitin, who was present at the meeting, considered the young man's words to be «discrediting» the army. His colleague drew up an administrative protocol against Morozov (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Morozov previously studied at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, but dropped out and now works in the Tinkoff support service in Stavropol. After graduation, Morozov received a summons to the army, but he decided to use the right to alternative service. -cite__image» alt=»1″ />ArticleCaptain Kozlitin's report.
