MOSCOW, Jun 9 Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah announced as the best player of the year in the English Championship according to the Association of Professional Footballers of England (PFA), according to the organization's official Twitter. Salah received this award for the second time in his career, for the first time he was recognized as the best football player of the PFA Championship in 2018. In the fight for the prize, the Egyptian beat his teammates forward Sadio Mane and defender Virgil van Dijk, as well as forwards Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) .The Young Player of the Year award was won by Manchester City's Phil Foden. The PFA Team of the Year was made up of six Liverpool players. In addition to Salah, Mane and van Dijk, it includes defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, midfielder Thiago Alcantara and goalkeeper Alisson. Manchester City, the defending champions, were represented by three players in the national team — De Bruyne, Joao Cancela and Bernardo Silva.
