MOSCOW, June 11 Three-time Olympic champion in hammer throw Anita Wlodarczyk, Poland, was able to independently detain the thief who tried to steal her car. On social networks, the athlete stated that she had handed over the violator to the police.
"A foreigner broke into my car. I caught him alone and handed him over to the police. Paid for it with a muscle injury. The operation will take place on Monday. Thanks to the Polish police ️ for prompt intervention. I’ll probably go to MMA now, like our champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk", the athlete wrote on Instagram (Meta activity (social networks Facebook and Instagram) is banned in Russia as extremist).
Vlodarczyk is 36 years old. She is the winner of the last three Olympics (2012, 2016, 2021), a three-time world champion and a four-time European champion. She holds the world record in the hammer throw (82.98 m).
