File photoCAIRO, June 14 Convicted in the Donetsk People's Republic, Moroccan citizen Bragin Saadoun, who fought on the side of Ukrainian troops, has Ukrainian citizenship, the Moroccan news agency MAP reported, citing a source in the Kingdom's embassy in Kiev. According to a diplomatic source of the agency, Saadoun confirmed in his statement that «he joined the Ukrainian army of his own free will.» «He also indicated that he has Ukrainian citizenship, which is information confirmed by his father,» the Moroccan embassy told MAP in Kiev. The Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced two citizens of Britain and one citizen of Morocco to capital punishment — the death penalty. According to the legislation of the republic, the sentenced British Aiden Aslin and Sean Pinner, as well as the Moroccan Saadoun Brahim, will be shot. The convicts can appeal the decision within a month.
