The guided munition is equipped with a semi-active laser guidance system. It allows you to hit both stationary and moving targets with high accuracy,» Rostec said. Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry repeatedly demonstrated filming from aboard drones with the defeat of Ukrainian positions and armored vehicles with guided projectiles «Koasnopol», which were fired from self-propelled artillery mounts «Msta-S». As these videos show, often «Krasnopol» allows you to achieve a direct hit on the object, that is, its deviation from the line of sight does not exceed 2-3 meters. The maximum firing range of «Krasnopol-M» is up to 25 kilometers. The projectile has a semi-active laser homing head and is aimed at a laser beam reflected from the target. As part of the special operation, the RF Armed Forces are using a reconnaissance and firing circuit — an artillery mount with a Krasnopol projectile plus a drone with a laser rangefinder target designator, which patrols the target area. Correction of the trajectory of the projectile when approaching the target is carried out by aerodynamic rudders.
