Zenit presented Bakaev with a scandalous video with the pupils of Spartak

MOSCOW, June 15 Petersburg football club «Zenit» on the official website announced about signing a contract with midfielder Zelimkhan Bakaev. The agreement with the 25-year-old player is designed for three seasons with the option of extending for one more. On June 1, Spartak announced Bakaev's departure due to the expiration of the contract. Zenit accompanied the news about the transfer of the football player with an archived video in which several students of the Spartak Academy perform a song popular among fans of «blue-white-blue». One of the participants in the action was called Bakaev. At the end of the video, the midfielder himself appeared in the frame of the Zenit press service in the form of the St. Petersburg club. Bakaev is a graduate of Spartak, he made his debut in the main team in 2015. Since then, the midfielder has played 105 matches for Spartak, in which he scored 11 goals and made 29 assists. Together with the Red-Whites, he won the Russian Super Cup in 2017 and the Russian Cup last season, and also took the silver medal of the Russian Championship in 2021. Bakaev played 12 matches for the Russian national team, scored 1 goal. Bakaev also played for Spartak-2 and Tula Arsenal on loan throughout his career.
