Named 16 cities that will host the World Cup in 2026


MOSCOW, 17 Jun. The International Football Federation (FIFA) on its website announced the cities that will host the games of the 2026 World Cup finals in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

In the USA, this is Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz Stadium, capacity — 75,000), Boston (Gillette Stadium, 70,000), Dallas (AT&T Stadium, 92,967), Kansas City (Arrowhead Stadium, 76,640), Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium, 70,240), Miami (Hard Rock Stadium, 67518), New York/NJ (MetLife Stadium, 87157), San Francisco (Levi's Stadium, 70909), Seattle (Lumen Field, 69000), Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field, 69,328) and Houston (NRG Stadium, 72,220); in Canada — Vancouver (BC Place, 54,500) and Toronto (BMO Field, 30,000); in Mexico — Guadalajara (Estadio Akron, 48,071), Mexico City (Estadio Azteca, 87,523) and Monterrey (Estadio BBVA, 53,460). 48 teams will take part, 23 cities applied (three Mexican, three Canadian and 17 cities from the USA).

From September to November 2021, FIFA experts inspected the main infrastructure facilities — stadiums, training facilities and potential places for fans zones.
