On Thursday, «Ural» announced the signing of a new contract with 31-year-old Shatov. The agreement with the midfielder is calculated until the end of the 2022/23 season.
"Why do I have to have long negotiations with him? I have known him since childhood, why should I talk to him for a long time? We didn’t have any problems, he can tell me about anything at any time. We have a completely different relationship than just working ones,” Ivanov said.
Shatov, who began his football career at Ural, returned to his native club in February of this year, signing a contract until the end of last season. In the fall of 2021, the midfielder terminated the contract with Rubin Kazan and announced the suspension of his football career due to injuries.
