
MOSCOW, Jun 17 Red Bull pilot Max Verstappen showed the best result in the first practice of the ninth stage of the Formula 1 World Championship — the Canadian Grand Prix, which takes place in Montreal at the Gilles Villeneuve track. The reigning world champion overcame his best lap in 1 minute 15.158 seconds. The Spanish Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz was second (0.246 seconds back), the third was the two-time world champion Fernando Alonso from Alpin (+0.373). The seven-time champion of the Royal Races British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) showed eighth time ( +0.719). Later on Friday there will be a second free practice.
