MOSCOW, June 23 Head of Refereeing Department of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Pavel Kamantsev was approved as the head of the referee committee, according to the official website of the organization. On Thursday, a meeting of the executive committee of the RFU was held. The issue of approving Kamantsev as head of the judicial committee was put on the agenda at the suggestion of the head of the organization Ashot Khachaturyants, who left this post. Kamantsev joined the RFU in 2019 and became one of the authors of the judicial reform. With his participation, the RFU developed new regulations and ethical standards for referees, increased the salary fund for arbitrators and formed a transparent system of ratings and bonuses. In March 2022, he became Acting Refereeing Department after the departure of Vitor Pereira.
