"The consequences of the conflict in Ukraine are forcing us to prepare in the economic, social and military spheres. The exchange of defense practices and strategies is becoming a historic necessity,» she said at the close of the Fuerzas Comando 2022 regional military exercise.
The military forces of 16 countries of the Americas, including the United States, took part in the two-week exercise in Honduras. Among the main common threats, facing the region, Castro called terrorism, drug and arms trafficking and organized crime. Dominican Republic will host them next year.
