File photoWASHINGTON, Jun 24 The US House of Representatives on Friday approved a bill to tighten gun control in the country, according to a vote broadcast on the website of the upper house of the US Congress. The initiative was supported by 234 members of the House ( including 14 Republicans), 193 opposed. The day before, the initiative secured the approval of the overwhelming majority of members of the Senate — 65 senators came in support of it, 33 were against it. Now the document will go to the signature of US President Joe Biden, who earlier called on congressmen to immediately vote in his support and «send the bill to his table.» This the initiative was approved after incidents at an elementary school in the Texas town of Uvalde, where 19 children and two teachers became victims of the shooting, as well as at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, where nine people were killed.
