British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said the country is buying Soviet and Russian military equipment to transfer to Ukraine.
«Most of the [Department of Defense] and military attachés around the world are searching,» the minister told reporters during a visit to Washington, according to The Wall Street Journal.
According to Wallace, sometimes Britain is faced with the fact that Russia is also engaged in searches in some countries and is trying to make up for losses, because «their stocks are running out quickly.»
The head of the Ministry of Defense added that 23 countries now have stocks of Russian equipment:
«If you really want to give this to the Ukrainians tomorrow morning so they can keep fighting…find what they can use, find what they need.»
Formerly in government Great Britain announced that they will give Ukraine military assistance for another 1.6 billion dollars in. At the end of May, Prime Minister Boris Johnson will meet with representatives of leading defense companies to discuss the increase in production due to demand caused by a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier, Johnson called for strengthening Ukraine so that a Russian invasion would never happen again. It didn't happen again.
