
MOSCOW, June 28 Konstantin Sidenko became the head coach of Lokomotiv Kaliningrad, reported on the website of the volleyball club. The previous coach of the Kaliningrad team was Andrei Voronkov, who on May 30 was disqualified for two years by the decision of the executive committee of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation for racist remarks against the Cuban volleyball player «Uralochka-NTMK» Ailama Sese Montalvo. Sidenko is 48 years old, earlier he worked as a senior coach of the men's volleyball club «Zenith» from Kazan. Prior to that, he worked in the coaching staff of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and Kuzbass Kemerovo, led the Russian student team, with which he won the silver medal at the 2017 Universiade, and Ural Ufa. As a player, he twice became the champion of Russia, once — the owner of the Cup of the country and the winner of the Champions League.
