The State Duma approved in the second reading an amendment on the register of affiliates with foreign agents

MOSCOW, June 28 The State Duma at the plenary session approved in the second reading the amendment on the register of persons, affiliated with foreign agents. Amendments to the bill introduce a unified register of individuals affiliated with foreign agents. It notes that an individual affiliated with a foreign agent is understood to be an individual who is or was in the past a member of the bodies of a legal entity — a foreign agent and is its founder, member, participant, manager or employee. Also, such a person is recognized as carrying out political activities and receiving (receiving) money or other property from foreign agents, including through intermediaries, for political activities. The amendment also notes that individuals affiliated with foreign agents are not subject to the requirements and restrictions established for foreign agents. The unified register will be maintained by the Ministry of Justice of Russia.
