Lawyer Alexey Ponomarev, representing the interests of hockey player Ivan Fedotov, said that he had applied to the military prosecutor's office with a demand to recognize the decision of the draft board as illegal. On Friday, the media reported that Fedotov was detained in St. Petersburg by the military registration and enlistment office. On Sunday, Ponomarev said that his client was supposedly being sent to Severomorsk, but there was no connection with him. On Monday, a number of media outlets, citing sources, reported that the athlete was in Severodvinsk. «As I told you earlier, a lawsuit has been filed with the court. We demand that the decision of the draft commission regarding Ivan Fedotov be declared illegal and canceled. We also appealed to the military prosecutor's office,» Ponomarev said.
