St. Petersburg, July 4, Taras Barabash. Goalkeeper of the Russian national hockey team Ivan Fedotov is in the training unit of the Russian Navy, a source in the Northern Fleet said. Last week, the media reported that Fedotov was detained in St. Petersburg by military enlistment office officers. The day before, his lawyer Alexei Ponomarev said that the hockey player was sent, presumably, to Severomorsk, but there was no connection with him. Some media, citing sources, said that the athlete is in Severodvinsk. This year, Fedotov, as part of CSKA, won the Gagarin Cup, and then signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers NHL club. He planned to leave for the USA in July.
