In Ingushetia, the father-in-law of the editor-in-chief of Fortanga, Isabella Evloeva, was taken to the Investigative Committee from the funeral of a relative. The journalist reported this in her telegram channel.
“Apparently, the security forces took up my family thoroughly. Yesterday, my elderly father-in-law was taken to the UK right from the funeral of his sister and asked about his son — that is, about my husband: where is he, what does he do, what part did he take in the protests of 2018-2019, and so on, ”explained Evloeva.
“The father-in-law was also asked where my husband’s mother is (she died 10 years ago), where are the brothers and sisters (who never existed),” the journalist added. According to her, two weeks before that, employees of the Center «E» asked her husband's cousin the same questions.
Evloeva's husband was a participant in protests in Magas against the agreement on the new border with Chechnya, as a result of these rallies, defendants «Ingush affairs» were at least 52 people. The journalist herself has not lived in Russia since 2019, she had to leave the country due to the threat of persecution after covering the Ingush protests.

In early June, Evloeva said that in Sunzha, her parents, with whom she had not lived since 1998, had been searched, and a notification had been sent to their address about the journalist was charged in the case of «fakes» about the Russian army (part 1 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
The founder of «Fortanga» wrote that in total two cases of «fake» were brought against her. According to Evloeva, the reason for the first case was that she called the letter Z «a synonym for aggression, death, pain and shameless manipulation», and for the second — the publication «about the atrocities in Bucha».
