MOSCOW, Jul 5 Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo Jorge Mendes' agent met with Barcelona President Joan Laporta to discuss the future of the player in the Spanish club, AS reports. The meeting took place on Monday. In addition to the possible transfer of Ronaldo to Barcelona, Mendes spoke with Laporta about the possible transfers of his other clients — Ruben Neves, Rafael Leao and Bernardo Silva. Ronaldo's future at Manchester United became uncertain after the team failed to break into the Champions League following the results of the past season. On Saturday it became known that the striker asked the management of United for permission to leave the club if there is a satisfactory offer. On Monday, Ronaldo missed the start of United's pre-season due to family reasons. According to ESPN, United are ready to part ways with the player, provided that he moves to a non-English Premier League team that pays for the last year of his contract. Ronaldo moved to Manchester United from the Italian Juventus in the summer of 2021.
