MOSCOW, Jul 5 Britain's Cameron Norrie beat Belgium's David Goffin in the quarterfinals Wimbledon tennis tournament. The meeting ended with a score of 3:6, 7:5, 2:6, 6:3, 7:5 in favor of the ninth-seeded Norrie, who for the first time in his career reached the semi-finals of the Grand Slam tournament. Tennis players spent 3 hours 28 minutes on the court. In the semi-final, the Briton will play against the reigning Wimbledon winner Serb Novak Djokovic (1st seed). Wimbledon, held on grass courts in the suburbs of London, will end on July 10. In April, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) refused to allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to the tournament because of the situation in Ukraine. In response, in May, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) decided not to award ranking points to competitors.
