MOSCOW, 6 Jul. Former UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor has spoken out about inducting his former rival, Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, into the Hall of Fame of the world's premier MMA promotion.
"My whiskey is proud to present his UFC Hall of Fame show" , — the Irishman wrote on social networks, posting an advertisement for his drink over a photo of Khabib at the ceremony.
Recall that in March 2021, UFC head Dana White announced Nurmagomedov's final retirement from the sport. Khabib ended his career with a record of 29-0. The Russian's fight against McGregor took place in October 2018 at UFC 229 and ended with Nurmagomedov's victory (pain in the fourth round). This match became the best-selling event in the history of the league (about 2.4 million paid broadcasts).
