MOSCOW, July 8 Serb Novak Djokovic reached the final of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. In the semifinals, the reigning champion of the tournament, seeded under the first number, outplayed British tennis player Cameron Norrie (9th seed) with a score of 2:6, 6:3, 6:2, 6:4. The opponents spent 2 hours and 34 minutes on the court. Djokovic won the Wimbledon tournament six times (including the last three tournaments). In the final, he will play with Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios, who missed the semi-final stage due to the withdrawal of the Spaniard Rafael Nadal. Norrie is 26 years old, he is ranked 12th in the world rankings. The tennis player first played in the semi-finals of the Grand Slam tournament, before that his best result was reaching the third round. Wimbledon, held on grass courts in the suburbs of London, will end on July 10th. In April, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) refused to allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to the tournament because of the situation in Ukraine. In response, in May, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) decided not to award ranking points to competitors.
