MOSCOW, Jul 9The man who shot former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe originally planned to attack the leader of a religious group, Kyodo news agency reported, citing sources familiar with the investigation. 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, who was arrested on charges of murdering former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, said that in this way he wanted to oppose a certain group to which the deceased politician allegedly belonged.
