Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the German newspaper Welt in Russia. Attention was drawn to this by the human rights project Roskomsvoboda, which monitors changes in the register of banned sites.
This was done at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office. Roskomnadzor immediately entered the site's domain into the register, and not a separate article to which there were claims.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, Roskomnadzor, in addition to Russian independent publications, restricted access to the websites of the British Daily Telegraph, BBC si», Deutsche Welle, the German tabloid Bild, the Euronews channel, the Finnish channel Yle, Radio France Internationale (RFI), the Estonian edition of Postimees, the Estonian Broadcasting Company (ERR) and others.
