Verstappen became the winner of the sprint qualification of the 11th stage of the championship. Thanks to the win, he starts Sunday's race from pole position. Second and third were Ferrari drivers Monegasque Charles Leclerc and Spaniard Carlos Sainz. «It was a decent race, we had a good pace from the very beginning, the rivals rode close to each other. It was really like a sprint. The Ferrari drivers decided to compete a little with each other, which allowed me to create a gap. After that, we were about equal in speed.
