MOSCOW, July 11 Kurgan Bus Plant, part of GAZ Group Oleg Deripaska, who produces buses of the KAVZ brand, asks the Intellectual Property Court to partially cancel the registration of the Cavs trademark owned by NBA Properties Inc, the manager of the National Basketball Association (NBA) brands. As follows from the published court ruling, the plaintiff is interested in this trademark for goods of one class International classification of goods and services — games and toys. According to the bus plant, the defendant does not use the brand in this area. The CIP has left the claim without movement, since the plaintiff did not attach an up-to-date extract on the legal status of the defendant, as well as evidence of sending a copy of the claim to him. KAVZ must eliminate the shortcomings by August 10.
