File photoBELGRADE, Jul 14 The Slovenian National Assembly on Thursday ratified the accession protocol for Finland and Sweden to NATO, the Slovenian Foreign Ministry said. «We are happy that the Slovenian National Assembly has just ratified the accession protocol for the two European partners «Sweden and Finland in NATO. Their membership will strengthen our collective security,» the Slovenian Foreign Ministry said on Twitter. Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde commented on the microblog, thanking Slovenia and her Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fayon for the ratification. Previously, Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic and the Croatian government have declared that they will gladly support the accession of Helsinki and Stockholm to the North Atlantic Alliance.
