MOSCOW, Jul 14 The International Skating Union (ISU) has confirmed the postponement of the Russian stage Grand Prix in figure skating in the Finnish city of Espoo, according to the ISU website. In April, the ISU decided to cancel the Russian stage of the Grand Prix series and extended the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions under the auspices of the organization due to the situation in Ukraine. Coronavirus restrictions remain in China, in May the ISU removed a stage in this country from its calendar. The International Skating Union also stressed that athletes from Russia and Belarus will not be able to take part in international competitions under the auspices of the ISU until further notice. The Espoo Grand Prix will take place November 25-27. The new host of the Chinese stage, which is scheduled for November 11-13, has not yet been determined. Earlier, an updated calendar was posted on the ISU official website. It was noted that this stage will be held in Sheffield, England, but the information was later deleted. The 2022 Grand Prix series will consist of six stages. It starts on October 21 with the Skate America tournament, and the Grand Prix final will be held on December 8-11 in Turin, Italy.
