The Central Court of Komsomolsk-on-Amur acquitted the artist Yulia Tsvetkova in the case of drawings of vulvas, which she published in the public “Vagina Monologues”. This was announced by the mother of the artist Anna Khodyreva.

During the debate, the prosecutor asked Tsvetkova for three years and two months in a penal colony.
Femaktivist Tsvetkova was accused under an article on the distribution of pornography via the Internet (point «b», part 3, 242 of the Criminal Code). The case against her was opened on November 20, 2019 — searches were conducted in the apartment and the children's theater studio, where the artist used to work.

Two days later, Tsvetkova was placed under house arrest due to violation of her travel ban. Human rights activist Svyatoslav Khromenkov said that during the detention and transportation from Blagoveshchensk to Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the activist was subjected to psychological pressure.
Already after the initiation of a criminal case, Tsvetkova was fined twice for promoting non-traditional sexual relations among minors (part 2 of the article 6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of public posts about feminism and LGBT and a drawing in support of LGBT families.
Tsvetkova explained that she leads the Vagina Monologues group, which publishes drawings of the vulva made by other artists and the activist herself, to remove the taboo from female physiology.
In early June, the Ministry of Justice added the artist to the list of media outlets as “foreign agents”.
