MOSCOW, Jul 14 Istanbul Basaksehir have signed a contract with German midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to the official website of the Turkish football club. Ozil, who previously played for Fenerbahce, joined the team as a free agent and signed an agreement under the 1 + 1 scheme. Ozil is 33 years old, before that he played for the German Schalke and Werder Bremen, English Arsenal and Real Madrid, in which he became the champion of Spain. As part of the German national team, he became the winner (2014) and the bronze medalist of the World Championships (2010), and also won the bronze of the European Championships twice (2012, 2016).
