MOSCOW, Jul 16 Former Ak Bars coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov appointed adviser to the executive director for the hockey vertical in the Kazan club, according to the website of the team of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). He will advise coaches and players of the club's system, playing in the Major and Youth Hockey Leagues, as well as in the academy. «I am grateful to Ak Bars» for an invitation to an interesting position. This is a continuation of my work at the club, but in a different form and in a new status. I would like to use the experience for the benefit of the club, which has given so much to me personally and to our hockey, and to transfer knowledge to a new generation of coaches and players,» Bilyaletdinov said. Bilyaletdinov is 67 years old, he coached Ak Bars from 2004 to 2011 and from 2014 to 2019 and led the team to four victories in the Russian championship (2006, 2009, 2010, 2018). Also, under his leadership, Dynamo Moscow won the national championship (2000). As a coach of the Russian national team, he became the world champion (2012).
