The Oktyabrsky District Court of Novorossiysk fined former activist Askhabali Alibekov 50,000 rubles in an administrative case of «discrediting» the Russian army. He told about this in his YouTube channel “Wild Paratrooper”.
On July 14, Judge Manolis Kerasov found Alibekov guilty under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The activist did not say what exactly was the reason for drawing up the protocol. According to him, during the meeting, Kerasov «shut his lawyer's mouth» and «refused to accept all petitions.» Alibekov called his decision «illegal».
On March 18, the Primorsky District Court of Novorossiysk already fined Alibekov 30 thousand rubles under the article on «discrediting» the army because of the video in the channel «Wild Paratrooper», where the former military man calls to stop the war in Ukraine and not to kill civilians residents, and also asks «not to send children to fight.»
The Life and Adventures of the Wild Trooper. How foreman Alibekov became a popular video blogger and why he ended up in prison
Alibekov participated in the Second Chechen War, served in the paratrooper unit of the Airborne Forces in Stavropol and intelligence of the navy in Novorossiysk. In 2017, Alibekov was transferred to Crimea for several months, after which a criminal case was brought against him for abuse of power with the use of violence (paragraph «a» of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code), according to which the paratrooper was replaced with a real term for a suspended sentence.
Alibekov gained notoriety in February 2018, when, once again settling to serve under a contract in Novorossiysk, he wrote down an appeal to Vladimir Putin, in which he accused him of hiding data on the number of Russians who died during the conflict in Ukraine and asked the president «leave Russia alone.» The video has nearly a million views. After that, Alibekov assured, he was fired.
