The UN representative warned that next year in this regard may be «much worse» than the current one. He also admitted that the world community will experience difficulties due to rising food prices in the next 6-12 months. After that, if the problem is not solved, the world could face a food shortage. According to Beasley, the situation is aggravated, among other things, due to restrictions on the supply of fertilizers from Russia and Belarus to world markets.
