
MOSCOW, Jul 21 Dane Jonas Wingegaard from Jumbo-Visma won 18 the 1st stage of the Tour de France multi-day race. He covered the 143.5 km stage in 3 hours 59 minutes 50 seconds. The current champion Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (+1.04) from UAE Team Emirates finished second, the Belgian cyclist Wout van Art from Jumbo-Visma (+2.10) finished third. Alexander Vlasov (+4.04) from Russia, competing under a neutral flag, finished ninth. Wingegaard leads the general classification with a total time of 71 hours 53 minutes 34 seconds. The second is Pogacar (+3.26), the third place is occupied by Briton Geraint Thomas from Ineos Grenadiers (+8.00). Vlasov occupies the seventh line (+14.10). The 19th stage, 188.5 km long, will take place on July 22. The cycling race will finish on July 24 in Paris.
