
MOSCOW, 21 Jul. Nottingham Forest announced on its official website that signing a contract with former Manchester United football player Jesse Lingard. According to The Guardian, the agreement with the 29-year-old midfielder was signed for one year with a salary of about 200 thousand pounds a week. Lingard is a graduate of Manchester United, made his debut in the club's first team in 2014, having previously spent two seasons on loan with Leicester (2012-2013) and Birmingham (2013-2014). Manchester United loaned Lingard three more times — to Brighton (2014), Derby County (2015) and West Ham (2021). In total, Lingard played 232 matches for Manchester United, in which he scored 35 balls and made 21 assists. In the England national team, the midfielder has 32 games and six goals. In the 2022/23 season, Nottingham Forest will play in the English Premier League (EPL) for the first time since 1999.
