MOSCOW, July 22 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on renunciation of citizenship Russian biathlete Lidia Zhurauskaite, who was born in Murmansk, the document was published on the portal of legal information. Earlier, the media wrote about the athlete’s plans to change citizenship and compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. It was also reported that Zhurauskaite intends to play for the Lithuanian national team. «To satisfy the application for withdrawal from the citizenship of the Russian Federation of the following persons: Zhurauskaite Lidia Mikhailovna, who was born on April 9, 1999 in Murmansk,» the document says.
