MOSCOW, Jul 23 Forward Matthew Tkachuk joined the Florida Panthers, reported on the website of the National Hockey League (NHL) club. The agreement with the 24-year-old striker is calculated until 2030. He moved from the Calgary Flames in exchange for forward Jonathan Huberdeau and defenseman Mackenzie Wigar. Also, Calgary will receive a first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Tkachuk played 431 NHL games and scored 382 points (152 goals and 230 assists), he has represented Calgary since 2016 and was selected sixth overall in the draft. As part of the US junior team, he became the world champion (2015). Huberdo is 29 years old, he has 613 points (198 + 415) in 671 league matches. He played for Florida since 2012, was selected by the club in the 2011 draft under the overall third number. As part of the Canadian youth team, he became the bronze medalist of the World Championship (2012).
