
MOSCOW, Jul 23 Former Liverpool owner and chairman David Moores died at the age of 76, according to the football club's website. It is noted that he died a few weeks after the death of his 39-year-old wife. The Moores family owned Liverpool for over 50 years, David Moores was chairman of the club from 1991 to 2007 . During his tenure, the team won 10 trophies, including the UEFA Cup (2001), the Champions League (2005) and the UEFA Super Cup (2005). It is noted that his uncle Sir John Moores, the founder of Littlewoods, was the owner of Everton in the 1960s and 70s.
