MOSCOW, 23 Jul. Monegasque Charles Leclerc of the Ferrari team won the qualification of the 12th stage of the Formula 1 — French Grand Prix, which takes place at the circuit in Le Castellet. Leclerc's result is 1 minute 30.872 seconds. Second place went to reigning world champion Dutchman Max Verstappen of Red Bull (+0.304). The third was his teammate Mexican driver Sergio Perez (+0.463). Seven-time world champion Briton Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes showed the fourth result (+0.893). The top 10 also included: 5. Lando Norris (UK, McLaren, +1.160), 6. George Russell (UK, Mercedes, +1.259), 7. Fernando Alonso (Spain, Alpin, +1.680) , 8. Yuki Tsunoda (Japan, Alpha Tauri, +1.908). Spaniard Carlos Sainz of Ferrari and Dane Kevin Magnussen of Haas qualified in 9th and 10th places, but will start 19th and 20th, respectively, due to fines for violating regulations relating to engine components.
