Within two days, more than two thousand applications were received in the Kupyansky district alone,» says Finko in a video posted on the Telegram channel administration of the Kharkiv region. According to her, along with an application for a pension, applications for the payment of financial assistance for June, which will be paid by the administration of each district, are also accepted. Finko noted that, first of all, pension applications are accepted from those residents who received pensions through post offices. According to her, for five months now these people have had no income other than a one-time financial assistance. «So far, payments are being made for pensioners who live and previously received a pension in our district. For people who came from other regions and districts, payments are planned later … The mood is optimistic — people are happy that their financial assistance will be almost twice the size of the pension they received earlier,» she added. During a special operation in Ukraine, the forces of Russia and the LPR took control of part of the Kharkov region. The administration of the Kharkiv region has created four district administrations in the controlled territories with administrative centers in the cities of Volchansk, Izyum, Kupyansk and the village of Kazachya Lopan. The region uses a dual-currency system — both the Ukrainian hryvnia and the Russian ruble are in use. Residents of these areas are paid one-time allowances.
