NAKHABINO (Moscow Region), July 24, Andrey Simonenko. First Vice- State Duma Speaker Alexander Zhukov told reporters that he understands Russian athletes who do not want to wait until they return to the international arena, but believes that they do not need to change citizenship. Earlier, in an interview published on Viktor Kravchenko's YouTube channel, advice to young athletes on changing citizenship gave the first racket of Russia tennis player Daria Kasatkina. Currently, in most sports, Russians are not allowed to participate in international tournaments. «It seems to me that there is no need to change the citizenship of athletes. I understand that someone wants to compete today, not tomorrow. But still, you need to play for your country,» — said Zhukov, commenting on the statements of Kasatkina.
