MOSCOW, Jul 25 NHL forward Montreal Canadiens» Paul Byron helped in the rescue of a seaplane pilot who made an emergency landing on a lake in Canada. According to RDS, Byron was fishing with his relatives at that moment when a seaplane crashed near them on the water. The first to come to the rescue was Serge Labelle, who at that time was riding a jet ski on the lake, after which Byron and the others joined the rescue. The pilot of the plane was pulled ashore, after which he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
"My father-in-law, son-in-law and family friend helped Serge in the rescue as best they could. Serge is a hero! Thank you all for the nice words. I wish the pilot all the best in his recovery,» Byron wrote on Twitter.
Byron, 33, has been representing Montreal since the 2015/16 season. In total, he has 208 points in the NHL (98 goals and 110 assists) in 521 games.
