    MOSCOW, Jul 29 Russian MP Motorsport driver Alexander Smolyar showed the best time in qualifying for the main race of the sixth stage of the Formula 3 championship — the Hungarian Grand Prix, which takes place at the Hungaroring circuit. The Russian drove his best lap in 1 minute 32.740 seconds, ahead of Trident team pilot Zane Maloney by 0.126 seconds. For Smolyar, this is the first pole of the season and the second in his career in Formula 3. The first Smolyar won in 2020 also on the Hungarian track. In the Saturday race with an inverted starting grid, the Russian driver will start 12th, and in the main race on Sunday, he will be first. Previously, Smolyar missed the British Grand Prix. The Russian pilot did not compete at the Silverstone track due to visa problems, he will be replaced by Romanian Filip Ugran. After five stages, Smolyar is ninth in the championship with 36 points.
