A photo of Nikitin's candidate certificate issued by the regional election commission was published under the post. According to the materials of the election commission of the Novgorod region, documents for registration as candidates for participation in the elections, in addition to Nikitin, were submitted by 5 more people. The relevant list also includes Communist Party candidate Olga Efimova, Russian Pensioners Party for Social Justice candidate Alexei Prokopov, Yabloko party candidate Anna Cherepanov, LDPR candidate Alexei Chursinov, and a Just Russia — Patriots — For Truth party candidate Sergei Shrub. The election commission decides whether to register a candidate or refuse registration within 10 days from the date of submission of documents.
