MOSCOW, August 1 CSKA and Russian national team handball player Dmitry Kiselev, disqualified for detection of cocaine in a doping sample, made a mistake and let the team and coaching staff down, says Igor Levshin, executive director of the Moscow club. On Monday it became known that the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) suspended Kiselev for three months for cocaine use. As noted on the website of the Russian Handball Federation, the reason was a positive doping test result revealed after the return semi-final match of the playoffs of the Russian Championship with the Perm Bears, which took place in Moscow on May 14. «Our club honors and respects the principles of fair competition and clean sports. Of course, we were upset that one of our handball players neglected these rules. Dmitry is one of the main handball players of our club, and we know his professional attitude to business. But, unfortunately, everyone can make a mistake. Dmitry let down the team, his partners , the coaching staff and the administrative staff of the club. I am sure that the handball player himself understands this. But we believe that in the fall he will join the training process and games, show his professional qualities, «the CSKA website quotes Levshin. It is noted that CSKA on this actually conducted an internal investigation. According to its results, Kiselev was removed from the training process.
