MOSCOW, Aug 1 Latvian goalkeeper Janis Kalnins arrived in Khabarovsk despite the fact that the Latvian Hockey Federation (LHF) rejected his transfer to Amur is reported in the Tigers' official Telegram channel. I traveled by bus for 12-14 hours to St. Petersburg, from there I flew for 12 hours: first I got to Novosibirsk, and then to Khabarovsk. It's a pleasant trip for the weekend. I'm like a zombie now. The time difference is a big blow in everything,» said Kalnins. In principle, this is all that I managed in a couple of hours. I exchanged a couple of phrases with (Evgeny) Alikin, in the process we will establish contact with him. I trained on the ground in the morning and in the evening. I contacted the Amur coaching staff to develop a training plan. I think I'm in good shape,» the goalkeeper added. In April, the Latvian Seimas adopted amendments to the sports law, according to which athletes and coaches are prohibited from participating in competitions held in Russia and Belarus. In July, LHF General Secretary Roberts Plžejs announced that Kalnins would not be called up to the Latvian national team due to the signing of a contract with the KHL club.
