The cinemas of the largest Russian cinema network Cinema Park and Formula Kino will start showing a «film product» — a mixture of Russian cinema and films of studios that have left Russia. Alexey Vasyanin, CEO of the chain, told Vedomosti about this.
The first film product will include the cartoon Koschey. The Beginning» by the Russian studio «Parovoz» and «Minions: Gruvitation» by Universal Pictures. Such a screening can already be found on the website of the cinema chain, the “film product” will be shown in most cities that have Cinema Park and Formula Kino.

Vasyanin said that in the future the network wants to expand the number of «film products» and include «any film from a foreign studio that left Russia.»
Officially, the film «Minions» did not receive a distribution certificate in Russia, Universal Pictures finally left the country and closed its local office on July 1.
After the start of the war with Ukraine, major Western films studios left Russia. Russian film distributors have been talking about the lack of films to show and reduced attendance since May.
