MOSCOW, Jul 31 Reigning world champion Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the 13th round of the Formula 1 championship — the Hungarian Grand Prix, which was held at the circuit «Hungaroring».
Second place went to seven-time world champion British Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton (lag 7.834 seconds ). Third was his teammate and compatriot George Russell (+12.337).
The top ten also included: 4. Carlos Sainz (Spain, Ferrari, +14.579), 5. Sergio Perez ( Mexico, Red Bull, +15.688), 6. Charles Leclerc (Monaco, Ferrari, +16.048), 7. Lando Norris (Great Britain, McLaren, +1.18.300), 8. Fernando Alonso (Spain, Alpin, +1 lap), 9. Esteban Ocon (France, Alpin, +1 lap), 10. Sebastian Vettel (Germany, Aston Martin, +1 lap).
Qualifying Verstappen showed the tenth time, having faced technical problems in the decisive attempt.
The next stage of the championship will be held in Belgium at the circuit «Spa-Francorchamps» on 26-28 August.
