MOSCOW, Aug 1 Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin presented the First Vice President The Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) and the head coach of the St. Petersburg hockey club SKA Roman Rotenberg received a badge of honor «For merits in the development of physical culture and sports», according to the RHF Telegram channel. On Monday, a working meeting between Matytsin and Rotenberg took place in Moscow. Upon completion, Matytsin presented Rotenberg with an award, which was awarded to him on July 11. The Minister noted the successes that the FHR has achieved during Rotenberg's work: in particular, the creation of the National Training Program for Hockey Players «Red Machine», the gold of the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, numerous medals of the adult, youth, junior and women's teams. «I want to express my gratitude to Oleg Matytsin for awarding the badge of honor «For merits in the development of physical culture and sports. It is also reported that Matytsin and Rotenberg during the meeting discussed a number of surveys on the development of domestic hockey, in particular, new projects of the FHR: the creation of a team of young stars of Russia — the national team under 25, as well as work in a new discipline — hockey in the «3 on 3» format. Rotenberg is 41 years old, he holds the position of first vice- President of the FHR since 2014.
